Our President and CEO, Dr. Scott Gordon, is a first-generation college graduate and has over 30 years of experience in a wide variety of educational levels, areas and settings. He has served in a variety of leadership roles such as dean, provost and president.  In addition, he has created unique high school and university partnerships, established novel business/industry and university partnerships and founded an award-winning STEM resource center.

 

A native of Malone, New York, Dr. Gordon is a first-generation college graduate.  He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from the State University of New York at Cortland and a master’s degree and doctorate in botany and mycology from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.  He also educational management and educational management and leadership certifications from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.

Dr. Gordon has been dedicated to student success his entire career.  He has worked to deliver several large professional development programs for teachers, established innovative student success programs at several universities and has established an award-winning resource center focusing on STEM education and student success.

 

At the Gordon Advisory Group, we are dedicated to helping students succeed academically.  Over the years our leadership has advised, mentored and coached hundreds of students at various levels of education.  His mentees have gone on to success in a variety of high-level careers in business, law, medicine, dentistry, academics, teaching and a variety of other professional areas.  He has seen the tremendous accomplishments of students when they are properly guided and coached.
